On the water...

At Sprite Island Yacht Club, the good times are as endless as the open water. From our legendary annual clambake to celebrating Father’s Day with our traditional pig roast, national holidays, and our beloved Sunday happy hours on the waterfront, there is always something to look forward to.

Our calendar is packed with special events designed for members who love great food, cold drinks, and even better company—because life on the island is always worth celebrating.

Fun for everyone

Adults: Informal Sunday Happy Hour, and Formal events such as Spring into Sprite, Opening Day Happy Hour and BBQ, Father’s Day Pig Roast, July 4th Celebration & Happy Hour, Clambake, Labor Day Happy Hour & BBQ, Men’s Social, Oktoberfest, Commodore’s Cocktail Party, many with live music and dancing

Children: Various activities from fishing and sailing tournaments, the Annual SIYC Olympics, scavenger hunts, ice cream social, movie nights, crafts and more.

Boating: Sunday regattas for all classes of sailboats, raft-ups, outings to neighboring clubs

Camping: Families can reserve the island after hours for camping “On the bluff” with spectacular views of Long Island sound, and the Peck’s Ledge lighthouse

Cornhole: bi-weekly Friday night competition throughout the season

Rest and Relaxation: Enjoy two large firepits and a library in the cottage

Kids Playground: Equipped with swing sets, and a kids playground structure

Lawn: For hosting informal and formal events throughout the season
