Sprite Island Yacht Club hosts a series of social events, in addition to sailing, that fosters a tight-knit community, and addresses the needs of our members and their families.
These include, events for:
Children: Various activities from fishing and sailing tournaments, the Annual SIYC Olympics, scavenger hunts, ice cream social, movie nights, crafts and more.
Adults: Informal Sunday Happy Hour, and Formal events such as Spring into Sprite, Opening Day Happy Hour and BBQ, Father’s Day Pig Roast, July 4th Celebration & Happy Hour, Clambake, Labor Day Happy Hour & BBQ, Men’s Social, Oktoberfest, Commodore’s Cocktail Party

The island also offers members opportunities for:
Camping: “On the bluff” with spectacular views of Long Island sound, and the Peck’s Ledge lighthouse
Rest and Relaxation: Enjoy two large firepits and a library in the cottage
Kids Playground: Equipped with swing sets, and a kids playground structure
Lawn: For hosting informal and formal events throughout the season
